This is the first of my pastel drawings of parents and children. I plan to do many and when I saw this photo, I knew it must be my first. This is currently in the Twin Oaks Gallery in San Marcos, Ca. Available in 12"x15" signed A/P print for $60 unframed.

A Terry Scussel photograph of a Cuban tobacco farmer. I love the character in his weathered face. You can really see how hard he had worked during his lifetime.

This image is blurry because I photographed it with glass on top. Oops. The photo was taken by a friend, Samantha Kaplan, while she was visiting Ghana. I just love her sweet smile. This piece and "Himalayan Boy" are framed the same and would look great together.

This image was taken by my son while he was hiking the Himalayan mountains during one summer. He said this particular group of boys loved getting their picture taken. This piece and "Ghana Girl" are framed the same and would look great together.

This is a family friend, Richard, as a young dancer in Montreal, Canada. Richard told me at the time of this photo he was thinking to himself, "Will I make it as a ballet dancer or not?" He not only made it, but toured around the world with his ballet company! The original is sold but it is available in a 12" x 15" signed A/P print for $60 unframed.

This is an Oil Pastel portrait of the great Cab Calloway. I love his energy and tried to capture it while listening to his music. After completing the portrait on cardboard, I cut it out and mounted it on museum board to give a fresh white background so to bring out the brightness of his eyes and smile.

I was going to title this one "Determined" but decided to focus on the shells instead, however she is really determined about something I'm sure! This is also available in a 12" x 16" signed A/P print for $60 unframed.

This was done on a piece of cardboard. I remember seeing some original Degas pastel paintings when I was a child and noticed he would draw on just about anything he could find. I found these to be the most interesting pieces......thus, the cardboard. When framing this, I wanted to preserve the integrity of the cardboard and it's texture.
